Register for VOLCO
If you would like to use VOLCO in your school / institution, register here in the following way:
1. Enquire online
Complete and submit an online Enquiry form (see below). You will be sent a VOLCO teaching pack by post containing a code number.
2. Register online
Once you know how many classes / pupils you want to involve, place an order by clicking the link below. Complete registration details, which should now include the number of Volcan settlements (classes) and Volcans (pupils and other staff) you wish to involve. Add your code number, a User Name and Password, and also a Volcan name for yourself, as you will be registered as the first Volcan Elder for your school / institution. Submit this form online.
3. Pay by post
An invoice will be e-mailed to the school / institution address with a copy to the contact address, if different. This should then be posted to cSPACE with payment.
4. Enter VOLCO
Notification will be sent by e-mail once your payment has been processed, and the school can now start using the web site. You will be able to log in with your User Name and Password. Your own Volcan identity page will appear in the Elders Testing Base. The Elders Pages may now be accessed, the school's / institution's new settlements entered and Volcans added up to the number ordered. Your own Volcan identity will move to each new settlement as you add it, though may be returned to any that you have set up by searching for your Volcan name and editing your details in the Elders Pages. You will only have active access to the settlements and Volcans you have added.
5. Recieve VOLCO training
We highly recommend that teachers who wish to use VOLCO receive training, which can be arranged by contacting cSPACE at the address below. This will take you through all the processes involved in running the project in your school. The training takes approximately six hours. The cost may depend on where you are located. It is ideally run in a computer suite your own school and can involve a group of several staff.
